Hi! I’m Jared! Finding the right trainer can be a bit intimidating, especially when you’re just starting out on a path to better health and wellness. Here’s what I want you to know: My goal as a trainer is to get to know you so we can identify the right activities that are fun to you and sustainable over the long run.
My approach to training has been inspired by my own fitness journey. I’d been working a high stress job and my health had deteriorated. The breaking point was when I had a minor but jarring health scare. This experience helped me quit my job and try to find a lifestyle that would help me regain my health.
While I was deciding my next moves, I started exercising for weight loss. Sure, I had some success, but I soon realized that weight loss wasn’t enough of a motivator. I realized that this process had to be joyful! So I started looking for physical activities that helped me move towards a more healthy lifestyle while having fun. That philosophy has helped me lose 100+ lbs while exploring activities like boxing, running, contra dancing, and team sports like football, dodgeball, quidditch (yes, you read that correctly!) and rugby.
Over the last ten years I’ve applied that same philosophy to my training style. Together we would have fun exercising while finding activities that would help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
